Bahrain Polytechnic requires all applicants to meet the criteria related to their Schooling System. See the requirements below.
When applying, applicants need to provide the original and a copy of these documents, as one copy will be kept in the file (no documents are returned after submission)..
Bahraini Government School
Requirements
Secondary school certificates and Thanawiya showing successful completion of (at least) 3 years of secondary education.
- The graduation certificate.
- Semester 1-6 certificates /transcripts.
- Evidence of a 70% cumulative GPA or more over the final 3 years of secondary school.
- Evidence of Good Conduct (not more than one year old).
- Medical Examination Certificate from Governmental Health Centre.
Bahraini Private School
Requirements
- Secondary/high school certificates recognised by the Ministry of Education’s Private Learning Directorate as equivalent to Bahraini Government Secondary Certificate (Thanawiya).
- Bring the original and submit a copy of the graduation certificate.
- Bring the original and submit a copy of Semester 1-6 certificates.
- Equivalence letter issued by the Ministry of Education, Private Education Directorate.
- Evidence of 70% cumulative GPA or more over the secondary school period (or equivalent).
- Evidence of Good Conduct (not more than one year old).
- Medical Examination Certificate from Governmental Health Centre.
Examples of recognised private school certificates (minimum 70% cumulative GPA or equivalent required):
- British system schools: Evidence of 70% or above from Ministry of Education.
- Pakistani system schools (Grades 10, 11 and 12).
- Indian system schools (Grades 10, 11 and 12).
- American system schools (Grades 10, 11 and 12).
- International Baccalaureate (Grades 10, 11 and 12).
- Schools using the Bahraini Government Certificate system.
Graduates from Abroad (Outside of Bahrain)
Requirements
- Secondary/high school certificates recognised by the Ministry of Education’s Examination Directorate as equivalent to Bahraini Government Secondary Certificate (Thanawiya).
- Bring the original and submit a copy of the Graduation Certificate.
- Bring the original and submit a copy of Semester 1-6 certificates.
- Equivalence letter issued by the Ministry of Education, Examination Directorate.
- Evidence of a 70% cumulative GPA or more over the secondary school period.
- Evidence of Good Conduct (not more than one year old).
- Medical Examination Certificate from Governmental Health Centre.
Transferring Students
Students who have studied at, or want to transfer from, a recognised University must complete all the admission procedures during the admission period. They can apply for Credit Recognition or Credit Transfer only after being offered and accepting a place at the Polytechnic. See Offers and Confirmation
