Research Strategic Plan
The Bahrain Polytechnic Strategic Research Plan describes the way that the Polytechnic maintains a thriving and sustainable research culture, encourages student and staff research and engages with industry in collaborative research partnerships. This plan sets the direction for the Research Committee to ensure that the priorities determined by the Polytechnic’s mission and vision are linked to Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 that places importance on the Kingdom’s ability to diversify and grow the economy through applied research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Research Process Committee
RPC is a committee represented by each faculty and related directorates to assess procedures and approve activities related to applied research policy of all staff members and students of Bahrain Polytechnic. The main roles are:
- Approve conducting of applied research activity submitted by staff members
- Approve disseminating of outputs (external publications / presentations of applied research) by staff members
- Assess reporting of applied research outputs per faculty / directorate conducted by staff members
- Assess reviewing applied research workload allowance for staff members
- Assess in selecting criteria of candidates for recognizing excellence work in applied research conducted by staff member per month
